Scopa Game Night! Fri, March 9

Come join other lovers of Italian culture for an intimate, casual, fun evening around the table playing cards, just like our nonni used to do!

The traditional game of Scopa is played across Italy with the traditional 40-card deck featuring 4 semi (suits): denari (coins), spade (swords), bastoni (clubs) and coppe (cups).

Maestra Jodina will offer instruction on how to play and also guide those interested in phrases and language to practice speaking Italian while playing.  No language skills required, but an awesome chance to practice if you are a student of Italian.

We’ve got plenty of decks of Scopa cards, and might even have a few to sell to anyone interested.  Bring a friend, or come on your own, and join us for this delightful and unique gathering!
