2017 SPRING CLASSES

  • 9-week class sessions in Carlsbad Village near the beach
  • Starting week of Mar 27th
  • Levels: Beginning, Advanced Beginner, Pre-intermediate, Intermediate & beyond

Beginner/Adv. Beg. Italian: (For beginners, advanced beginners, travelers) –        If you are new or new-ish to Italian, whether you want to learn some basics for a trip to Italy or you’re following your dream of learning to speak the language, this is the class for you! Learn the basics of Italian through interesting conversations and engaging activities that will introduce you to the inner workings of this beautiful language. Classes are fun, lively, and supportive. Language concepts are presented and practiced in a clear and practical way.  Materials used have been created by Italiano With Jodina and have been proven effective time and again with hundreds of students.

Italian Story + Conversation (Pre-intermediate, intermediate and beyond)  –       This class is conducted mostly in Italian and uses interesting stories and articles as a window into the language. The readings will be our springboard to conversing, to learning new vocabulary, and to expanding your understanding of how Italian works.   Classes are fun, effective, and supportive. Language concepts are presented and practiced in a clear and practical way using Italiano With Jodina’s original grammar cheat sheets that have helped hundreds of students to make sense of the mechanics of this beautiful language.

  • Cooking instruction – Book an Italian cooking experience! … Hold a dinner party, invite your friends, and I’ll bring the ingredients. Together we’ll create a memorable evening and a delicious full course Italian meal from scratch, for comparable to what you’d spend in a restaurant. (Recipes included!)
  • Italian for Travelers – Prepare for your trip to Italy. For individuals or groups.

  • Guest Speaker –  Jodina is available as a guest speaker. Presentation topics have included Italian for Travelers, Touring the Amalfi Coast – Tuscany – Sicily, Smart Travel, and tales of a life abroad. Presentations draw on Jodina’s travel experiences and feature her original photography. Venues have included Miracosta College’s Community Enrichment Program, CSUSM’s Osher Program, and ArtBeat on Main Street.
  •  Workshops – Tailored for private groups, special events, or parties. Themes include Italy Travel, Smart Travel, Language & Culture Tips; Italian Cuisine & Hands-0n Cooking lessons. Custom workshops on request.
